Nanny Ogg in her absence is worried about Granny, now Magrat is gone. Nanny Ogg and Granny Weatherwax gather around a fire, their third witch now married and the Queen of Lancre. This story kicks off as usual, the meeting of ‘we three’ at night. And the narrator for the Witch books, Indira Varma, was absolutely fabulous. But the recent first set of releases that are part of the new audio books with narrators for each sub series had me super intrigued. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Nigel Planer or Tony Robinson abridged recordings in general.

And it was! Something I did with this book that I didn’t really do with any of the others as well was listening to this one on audio. You can expect that the Pratchett spin on it is something right up my alley.

Something I never really think comes up in conversation is my love for The Phantom of the Opera. So there’s going to be trouble (but nevertheless a good evenin’s entertainment with murders you can really hum. And she doesn’t hold with that sort of thing. But Granny Weatherwax, Discworld’s most famous witch, is in the audience. a huge, rambling building, where innocent young sopranos are lured to their destiny by a strangely-familiar eveil mastermind in a hideously-deformed evening dress. Only with Nanny Ogg and Granny Weatherwax. We shall see! For today anyway we shall sample the upper class and take a trip to the opera. Welcome back to the Discworld Project fam!
